5. Is Endoscopy painful?

No. Most patients receive sedation, making the procedure comfortable with minimal discomfort.

6. How long does an Endoscopy take?

EGD- Usually 10–20 minutes, depending on the procedure and findings.
Colonoscopy- Usually 15–30 minutes, depending on the procedure and findings.
ERCP- Usually 20–45 minutes, depending on the procedure and findings.

7. What is the difference between IBS and IBD?

IBS is a functional disorder, meaning the bowel looks normal but does not work properly.

Where as IBD is an inflammatory disease that causes ulcers and swelling in the intestine.

IBS does not damage the bowel, while IBD can lead to serious complications if not treated.
